Who we're looking for
We’re inviting Registered and Enrolled Nurses who hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and have recent acute hospital experience. You’ll be confident working across multidisciplinary teams, adaptable to new wards and systems, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Experience in medical, surgical, theatre, ED, or mental health settings is highly valued. Up-to-date immunisations, a current Working With Children Check, and relevant hospital competencies will help you hit the ground running.

Do I need prior hospital experience?
Yes, we generally require at least six months of recent acute or hospital-based experience. However, if you’ve worked in a related clinical setting, talk to us - we can often provide guidance on pathways back into hospital work.
What kind of contracts are available?
We offer both short-term and long-term placements across metro and regional hospitals. You can choose casual shifts, fixed-term contracts, or ongoing opportunities depending on your needs.
Can I move between hospitals once I’m credentialed?
Absolutely. Once credentialed with Verus People, you’ll be eligible for placements in multiple facilities without needing to repeat the Verus onboarding process each time, although there may be hospital specific requirements.
