Role Details
Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Service: Karratha Hospital, Hedland Health Campus, Onslow Hospital, Newman Hospital
Dates: Vacancies from Feb - May (let me know your availability)
Accommodation: Provided
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective emergency nursing care in a rural Emergency Departments
- Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritisation of care
- Manage a wide range of emergency presentations, including trauma and acute medical conditions
- Respond to emergency situations and stabilise patients for transfer when required
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide culturally safe, patient-centred care aligned with clinical governance standards
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent Emergency Department nursing experience (min 3 years)
- Triage competency (ETS or equivalent) highly regarded
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a rural hospital environment
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills
