ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Griffith Base Hospital is a 119-bed facility in the heart of the Riverina, supporting around 600 births, 2,500 operations, and over 19,500 emergency presentations each year. The hospital boasts 10 dedicated maternity beds and a 24-hour ED with 15 beds. Set in a diverse, welcoming community with over 70 nationalities, Griffith offers an exceptional quality of life with outstanding local produce, wine, and dining.
This role has become available to support the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department through increased service demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert care in Obstetrics & Gynaecology services
- Oversee patient assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing management
- Collaborate with midwives, junior doctors, and allied health
- Participate in on-call and theatre lists as required
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff
YOU WILL HAVE
- Fellowship of RANZCOG
- Current General AHPRA registration
- Proven experience working in regional or rural maternity services
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Full credentialing and medical compliance documents
