As an Agency Registered Midwife, you will provide high-quality midwifery care across various remote and rural communities in the Northern Territory.Short term contracts ranging from 6 -12 weeks available - ASAP START
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Offer labour and birth support
- Ensure culturally appropriate care is provided to women and families, particularly Indigenous communities.
- Collaborate with local healthcare teams and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Manage acute maternal and newborn situations, and deliver emergency care when needed.
Requirements / Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate midwifery experience.
- Experience in Antenatal, Labour & Birth, and Postnatal care, particularly in rural or remote settings.
- Ochre Card or proof of Purchase - NT WWCC
- Willingness to provide a valid NPC
- Advanced Life Support ( ALS ) and Paediatric advanced life support ( PALS ) certification is a MUST.
