The Critical Care Unit at Kalgoorlie Health Campus provides high-quality care to critically unwell patients from Kalgoorlie and the wider Goldfields region. The unit supports clinicians who are highly skilled, adaptable, and committed to delivering patient-centred care in a regional setting, managing a broad range of acute and complex presentations while working within a close-knit multidisciplinary team.
Role Details
Position: Registered Nurse - Critical Care
Service: Kalgoorlie Hospital
Dates: Multiple vacanies 9th March - 10th May
Accommodation: Provided
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity nursing care to critically unwell patients, including those requiring advanced monitoring and life-support interventions
- Perform continuous patient assessment, interpretation of vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and early recognition of clinical deterioration
- Manage and monitor invasive and non-invasive lines, oxygen delivery systems, and critical care equipment
- Provide emergency response and stabilisation for acute medical, surgical, trauma, and cardiac presentations
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
- Recent clinical experience in CCU or ICU
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a regional health service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
