Fitzroy Crossing Hospital is a vital remote health service providing emergency, inpatient, and primary healthcare services to the local community. The service requires Emergency Department nurses who are clinically confident, adaptable, and capable of working autonomously in a remote environment.
Role Details
Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Service: Fitzroy Crossing Hospital
Dates: Multiple vacancies between Feb - May (let me know your availability)

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective emergency nursing care in a remote Emergency Department
- Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritisation of care
- Manage a wide range of emergency presentations, including trauma and acute medical conditions
- Respond to emergency situations and stabilise patients for transfer when required
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide culturally safe, patient-centred care aligned with clinical governance standards
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Triage competency (ETS or equivalent) highly regarded
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a rural hospital environment
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills
