Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Facilities across NSW
Contract: 4-12 weeks from March/April onwards
Rates up to $62.27 p/hrAM | Travel & Accommodation Covered | $500 Verus Education Allowance
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred emergency care in a fast-paced and high-acuity clinical environment.
- Perform comprehensive triage, assessment, and prioritisation of patients using NSW Emergency Triage Systems and clinical protocols.
- Initiate and manage emergency interventions, including resuscitation, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and administration of IV medications.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical officers, allied health professionals, and support staff, to ensure safe and timely patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with NSW Health policies and professional standards.
- Support patient and family education, providing clear communication during emergency presentations and critical situations.
- Adhere to infection control, WHS, and clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with NSW Health guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and mentoring of junior staff and students as required.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- 2+ years experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Must be ready to onboard and travel
- Triage Certificate OR experience
- ALS Certificate
