Are you an experienced anaesthetic nurse looking to secure a permanent role within a rapidly growing, state-of-the-art medical precinct? A premier private hospital facility in Western Sydney is expanding its theatre team and seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse specialising in Anaesthetics.
Following a major multi-million dollar multi-story development, this world-class facility features expanded, advanced operating theatres, a hybrid theatre, and a dedicated endoscopy suite. It services a highly diverse surgical case-mix including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, general, plastics, and maternity.
Working alongside a collaborative, friendly team of specialist anaesthetists and surgeons, you will deliver precise, high-quality airway management and perioperative support, ensuring exceptional patient safety and comfort.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Assistance: Provide expert assistance to the Anaesthetist during the induction, maintenance, and reversal phases of anaesthesia. Patient Preparation: Conduct thorough pre-operative patient assessments, ensuring all psychological and physical needs are met prior to surgery. Equipment & Environment: Prepare and maintain advanced anaesthetic machines, monitoring systems, and pharmaceutical requirements. Airway Management: Anticipate clinical needs and respond rapidly and effectively to any physiological changes or emergencies.
Candidate Checklist
Current Registration: Valid AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions. Theatre Experience: A minimum of 1224 months of recent, dedicated experience in an acute anaesthetics nursing role. Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with modern theatre tech, advanced monitoring equipment, and airway management protocols. Team Mentality: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build quick rapport with clinicians, patients, and families.
