Are you an experienced CSSD professional with a passion for education, leadership, and driving excellence in sterile services? A leading private hospital near Newcastle is seeking a dedicated CSSD Supervisor/Educator to lead education and training initiatives within the department.

About the Role:

In this dual leadership and educational role, youll be responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of education and training programs aligned with the strategic goals of the CSSD department. Working collaboratively with Department Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Infection Control, and OHS, youll ensure best practice standards are maintained and team members are equipped with the skills they need to excel.

Youll also oversee the CSSD orientation program for new team members and contribute significantly to staff development and departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate in-service training programs
  • Facilitate learning and assess staff competencies objectively
  • Manage orientation and onboarding of new CSSD staff
  • Collaborate with key hospital stakeholders to align training with hospital policies and safety standards
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing CSSD team through coaching and mentorship

About You:

  • Proven ability to design and present effective education and training packages
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Able to build strong working relationships across a multidisciplinary team
  • Skilled in change management, planning, and problem solving
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Experience in delivering results through consultation and collaboration
