Why Metro Nursing with Verus People?

Imagine finishing an early shift at Sir Charles Gairdner and still having time to meet friends in Leederville for brunch. Because you stay local, flexibility finally feels natural.
Our casual nurses select AM, PM or night duty to weave around family commitments, study timetables or weekend trips down south. Every placement arrives backed by the security of a government-run allocation service, so you’ll move confidently between public hospitals knowing your credentialing is already in place.
Pay lands weekly, alongside super and transparent digital payslips. And whenever a roster changes or a CPD question pops up, a Perth-based Verus Nursing consultant answers the phone.
Who we're looking for
We’re inviting Registered and Enrolled Nurses who hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and can travel independently to Perth metro sites. Six months’ recent acute, aged-care or mental-health experience is ideal; a current WA Working With Children Check and standard immunisations keep you roster-ready. If that sounds like you—and you’d like the freedom to work around your own timetable—read on.
How it works
Get in contact using the form below. Our compliance team then verifies your credentials once, meaning you won’t repeat hospital onboarding every time you pick up a new ward. Next, simply tell us the dates and times you’re free and our booking system pairs the right shift to your availability. Show up, scan in, deliver excellent care, and see the earnings hit your account by the following week.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior experience in WA Health hospitals?
While previous public-sector work helps, it isn’t mandatory. Your recent acute experience transfers well and we provide a concise orientation to WA Health protocols before your first shift.
Is there a minimum number of shifts I must accept?
No. Our model is designed for flexibility; you can accept one shift a fortnight or a full-time roster, depending on your circumstances.
Can I still work rural contracts and dip into metro shifts between them?
Absolutely. Many travel nurses use the Metro Pool to bridge the gap between longer placements, keeping their skills sharp - and their Perth rent paid - while they plan the next adventure.

Great agency, supportive and competitive payrates. Agents are approachable and quick to find and organise contracts. Tom has been amazing in finding contracts suited to my lifestyle as a travelling nurse. 5 stars!
Jocelyn, Registered Nurse
As a rural generalist nurse working in small MPS sites and single nurse posts as well as relief work as a DON-HSM, I've been afforded some incredibly rewarding opportunities across Australia thanks to Verus and Aisling. Verus has made it easy for agency nurses from all backgrounds to find their niche and explore new destinations and challenges across Australia. Thanks Aisling and Verus - I look forward to many more adventures.
Sam, Remote Area Nurse
I landed on my feet when I joined Verus! Dani welcomed me when i first called to enquire about joining and has been an incredible support ever since! She’s at the end of the phone any time I call and she’s absolutely on top of everything - sorting out each contract and advocating for my needs every step of the way. Dani makes arranging each RAN contract easy and you can’t ask for more than that :) I can’t recommend Verus or Dani highly enough!
