We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Health Manager to lead family and maternal health initiatives across several remote communities in Regional WA.
This is a pivotal leadership role for a passionate professional who can drive upstream health initiatives, mentor a small team, and ensure quality service delivery to Aboriginal families across multiple communities. The role also includes occasional on-the-floor midwifery support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and supervise a small health team across remote community settings
- Design, coordinate and deliver family and maternal health programs and upstream health initiatives
- Build collaborative partnerships with community members, stakeholders, and other service providers
- Contribute to community engagement and culturally appropriate program delivery
- Maintain quality reporting, data management and funding compliance
- Provide midwifery support when required, in alignment with endorsed qualifications
What Were Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health Services Management, Community Development, Social Work, Nursing/Midwifery, or similar
- Experience leading community-based teams and delivering programs in rural or remote settings
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health principles
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
- Ability to travel regularly to remote communities
- Manual C class drivers license and willingness to operate a 4WD
