Locum Specialist Physician General Medicine
Location: Lismore Base Hospital, NSW
Dates: 819 September 2025
Rate:$2,500 per 24 hours
We are recruiting for an experienced Specialist Physician in General Medicine to provide locum cover at Lismore Base Hospital, Northern NSW.
The Hospital
Lismore Base Hospital is a Level 5 regional referral hospital with a state-of-the-art operating theatre suite, ICU/CCU, advanced imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab and most major specialties and subspecialties. Its Emergency Department is a comprehensive Level 5 service and the designated Trauma Centre for Northern NSW, supported by a rooftop helipad and Retrieval Service.
The Role
- Inpatient care, ward rounds, clinics, emergencies
- On-call cover 17000800
- Supervision and training of Junior Medical Officers
- Daily working hours 08001700
Package
- $2,500 per 24-hour period (NSW Health capped rate)
- Basic accommodation provided
- Hire car supplied
- Reimbursement of reasonable travel costs

Requirements
- FRACP and specialist registration with AHPRA
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- National Criminal Record Clearance
- Completed NSW Health mandatory training (including eMR and eMEDS)
- Job ready for immediate commencement
