Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill or high-dependency patients requiring advanced clinical support.
  • Monitor, assess, and manage complex physiological data, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
  • Manage advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and invasive monitoring lines.
  • Provide compassionate support, reassurance, and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.

Key Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 1224 months of recent experience working within an acute hospital ICU or Critical Care environment.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Critical Care / Intensive Care Nursing is highly regarded (or current study toward one).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
