Unlike acute surgical environments, this role allows you to truly get to know your patients. Working out of a modern, well-equipped rehabilitation unit, you will support individuals recovering from major orthopaedic surgeries, neurological conditions, strokes, and multi-trauma events. You will join a highly collaborative team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists who all work toward one common goal: getting patients safely back on their feet and back home.

Where Youll Make an Impact

Goal-Directed Care: Formulate and implement comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation care plans focused on restoring patient mobility and functional independence.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Act as the vital link between patients, families, physiotherapists, OTs, and medical consultants to ensure a unified approach to recovery.

Clinical Management: Oversee medication management, wound care, bowel/bladder retraining, and chronic condition education tailored to the patients discharge goals.

Discharge Advocacy: Coordinate and advocate for safe, seamless discharge planning, ensuring patients are fully prepared and supported for life at home.


What You Bring to the Unit

Professional Registration: Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Relevant Experience: Minimum 1224 months of recent experience in an acute medical, surgical, or dedicated rehabilitation ward environment.

Passionate Approach: A genuine interest in restorative care and a patient, encouraging manner that motivates patients through their recovery milestones.

Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of coordinating closely with allied health teams and family members.
