Are you an experienced cardiac nurse looking to step into a specialized, high-performing environment that values your advanced training? A premier private hospital facility in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse holding Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac or Critical Care Nursing to join their dedicated Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

This modern, specialized unit is a key cardiac hub for the region, managing high-acuity patients recovering from complex interventional cardiology procedures, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, and complex arrhythmias. In this permanent role, your advanced clinical expertise will make you a vital anchor on the floor. You will play a leading role in managing complex cardiac cases, interpreting advanced diagnostics, and mentoring junior clinicians within a close-knit team of leading cardiologists and intensivists.

Whether you are a Melbourne-based cardiac specialist looking for a highly supportive workplace culture closer to home, or looking to step into a premier private facility with state-of-the-art infrastructure, this position offers an outstanding professional platform.

Your Advanced Impact

Expert Cardiac Surveillance: Perform advanced, rapid interpretation of complex cardiac rhythms, 12-lead ECGs, and invasive hemodynamic data to guide immediate clinical interventions.

Post-Interventional Care: Manage high-quality recovery protocols for patients post-cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent insertion, and pacemaker implantation.

Clinical Mentorship: Act as an advanced clinical resource on the floor, providing guidance to junior staff, leading shifts, and assisting with cardiac education programs.

Emergency Response: Lead and coordinate rapid-response and resuscitation protocols for acute cardiac emergencies within the unit.

The Specialized Profile

Academic Credentials: A completed Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, or Masters degree in Cardiac, Coronary Care, or Critical Care Nursing.

Professional Standing: Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Cardiac Track Record: Minimum 23 years of recent, dedicated experience within an acute hospital CCU, Cardiac Cath Lab, or specialized Cardiac Ward.

Advanced Capabilities: Proven competence in Advanced Life Support (ALS), temporary pacing management, and sheaths/arterial line management.

The Support & Rewards

Financial Recognition: Highly competitive base salary packages reflecting your specialized training, including a dedicated Postgraduate Allowance and strong shift penalties.

State-of-the-Art Workspace: Work in a highly regarded facility featuring cutting-edge cardiac monitoring technology and modern infrastructure.

Career Advancement: Access to extensive national professional development programs, paid conference leave, and clear internal pathways into Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Educator, or Management roles.

Work-Life Balance: Benefit from flexible shift configurations and collaborative rostering options designed to respect your personal commitments and promote workplace wellbeing.
