The Day-to-Day Focus
Anaesthetic Support: Work hand-in-hand with specialist anaesthetists during the critical induction, maintenance, and reversal phases of anesthesia.
Acute PACU Care: Provide one-on-one, high-quality airway monitoring, pain titration, and hemodynamic stability checks as patients emerge from surgery.
Pre-Op Workups: Conduct thorough clinical checks and prepare specialized anaesthetic equipment, drug lines, and monitoring systems for upcoming cases.
Patient Advocacy: Maintain an uncompromising focus on clinical safety, infection control, and patient reassurance throughout the perioperative journey.
What You Bring to the Team
Professional Standing: Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Perioperative Track Record: Minimum 1224 months of recent experience in acute Anaesthetics and/or Recovery (PACU) nursing.
Clinical Agility: The flexibility and confidence to transition smoothly between anaesthetic assisting and post-op recovery duties.
Calm Under Pressure: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and respond rapidly to physiological changes or emergency situations.
