Key Responsibilities
- Perform both scrub and scout duties across a diverse mix of surgical cases (including orthopaedics, general, plastics, urology, and gynaecology).
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure all necessary instrumentation, equipment, and consumables are prepared and ready.
- Maintain impeccable infection control standards and comply with all national safety and quality health service standards.
- Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative journey.
Key Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 1224 months of recent experience working as a Scrub Scout in an acute hospital theatre environment.
- Proven competence across multiple surgical specialties (experience in high-volume or complex specialties is highly regarded).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
