DIRECTOR OF NURSING / FACILITY MANAGER TAROOM, QUEENSLAND

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to take on the role of Director of Nursing / Facility Manager.
This is a unique chance to lead and shape healthcare delivery in a close-knit rural Queensland community, with the autonomy and scope of practice that only rural leadership can offer.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, overseeing the full scope of clinical and corporate governance frameworks
- Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safe, high-quality, and culturally competent care
- Ensure compliance with NSQHS Standards and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Manage delegated cost centres and operational plans, applying sound financial and resource management practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, representing the facility within the local community
- Participate in an on-call roster and respond to service requirements outside standard rostered hours as needed
YOU WILL HAVE / KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Current or eligible AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with an annual practicing certificate
- Demonstrated experience in professional and clinical leadership across multidisciplinary teams within complex health service environments
- Strong financial acumen and experience in resource management and operational budgeting
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and manage relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- High-level knowledge of NSQHS Standards and quality improvement frameworks
- A genuine passion for rural health and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Post Graduate qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, or Management are well regarded (not essential)
- Current 'C' class driver's licence
