Job Description:
Parkes Hospital is seeking an experienced ED doctor to cover day shifts in the Emergency Department. The doctor will be required to be onsite for the full duration of the shift, with two 30-minute breaks permitted. A comprehensive clinical handover between ED doctors is expected at each shift change.
Hospital Overview:
Parkes Hospital is a procedural facility with a 27-bed capacity, including:
- 3 maternity beds
- 2 high observation beds
- 2 birthing rooms
- 5 ED beds and 1 Resus Bay
The ED sees approximately 3235 patients per day. Anaesthetic cover is available on-call.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Proven experience in Emergency Medicine
- Ability to manage a broad range of presentations independently
- Strong communication and handover skills
