Position Title:
ED Day Shift
Hours per Shift:
07:45 18:15 (onsite)
Rate of Pay: $2300 to $2500/day
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Medical Degree or minimum Post Graduate Year 3
- Advanced Life Support Level 2 (completed within the last 3 years)
Key Duties
- Attend face-to-face clinical handovers with night and ward doctors:
- 0800 0830 and 1630 1700 in the Emergency Department
- Provide onsite medical care to ED patients
- Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR
- Lead clinical reviews, rapid response, trauma, and cardiac arrest services across the facility
- Review pathology and radiology results in the ED message centre, follow up as needed, and document management plans
- Supervise and train students, junior medical officers, and registrars
- Participate in morbidity & mortality meetings, MDT meetings, and other clinical meetings as requested
