Position Title:
ED Night Shift
Hours per Shift:
18:00 08:00 (onsite)
Rate of Pay: $2400 to $2600/day
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Medical Degree or minimum Post Graduate Year 3
- Advanced Life Support Level 1 (completed within the last 3 years)
Key Duties
- Attend face-to-face clinical handovers with ED day doctor and ward doctor:
- 08:00 08:30 and 20:00 20:30 in the Emergency Department
- Provide onsite medical care to ED patients
- Provide medical care to inpatients from 20:00 08:00, including discharge summaries and patient reviews as requested
- Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR
- Lead clinical reviews, rapid response, trauma, and cardiac arrest services across the facility
- Review pathology and radiology results in the ED message centre, follow up as needed, and document management plans
- Provide surgical assistance in theatre when required
- Supervise and train students, junior medical officers, and registrars
- Participate in morbidity & mortality meetings, MDT meetings, and other clinical meetings as requested
