Mackay Base Hospital Emergency Department
- Major regional referral hospital for the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday regions.
- 24/7 Emergency Department managing everything from minor injuries to major trauma.
- On-site ICU, operating theatres, medical and surgical specialties, and diagnostic services.
- Busy regional ED with a broad case mix, including trauma, mining-related injuries, medical emergencies and paediatrics.
- Currently undergoing a major expansion to increase capacity and services.
Moranbah Hospital
- Located around 190 km (about 2 hours) southwest of Mackay.
- A 24-hour rural hospital serving the mining community and surrounding areas.
- Emergency presentations range from minor injuries and illnesses to serious trauma, with stabilisation and retrieval of critically unwell patients when required.
- Provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, with more complex cases transferred to Mackay Base Hospital.
What's on Offer?
- Rates in excess of $70 per hour
- Travel and Accommodation Provided ($200 per week towards privately sourced accommodation)
