This role offers the opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped facility that has a long-standing history of serving the Ballarat and Central Highlands community. As a key member of the clinical team, you will support families through every stage of their journey, providing expert care in antenatal clinics, birth suites, and postnatal wards, as well as specialised support in the nursery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a supportive and compassionate environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities also include providing patient education, supervising junior staff or students, and contributing to the overall operational goals of the maternity unit. Dual registered Midwives and Nurses are highly regarded for these positions, reflecting the diverse needs of the patient population.
To be considered for this role, you must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential, as is a desire for ongoing professional development.
