5. Referrer eligibility
The Referrer must:
- be a Registered Candidate of Verus People Nursing when the referral is submitted;
- personally know the Referred Nurse;

A nurse cannot refer themselves.
Registration, referral or application does not guarantee employment or placement.
7. Reward
After a Successful Referral:
- the Referrer will receive $750 AUD; and
- the Referred Nurse will receive $750 AUD.
Each Reward is paid only after Verus People Nursing confirms that the Referred Nurse has completed at least eight weeks of eligible work.
Payment will be made using the method advised by Verus People Nursing. Any tax, withholding or reporting treatment required by law may apply.
8. Multiple referrals
If the same nurse is referred by more than one person, only the first complete and valid referral received by Verus People Nursing will be eligible.
A referral cannot be transferred to another Referrer.
9. Retrospective referrals
Retrospective referrals are not eligible. A person cannot be nominated as the Referrer after the Referred Nurse has registered, applied or contacted Verus People Nursing directly.
10. Contract changes
If an Eligible Contract is shortened, cancelled or interrupted for reasons outside the Referred Nurse’s reasonable control, Verus People Nursing may consider eligible weeks subsequently worked through Verus People Nursing before 31 March 2027.
Any such assessment will be made reasonably and consistently, having regard to the circumstances and supporting records. This clause does not guarantee that incomplete contracts will qualify.
11. Verification and payment deadline
Verus People Nursing will verify eligibility using its registration, referral, placement and timesheet records.
No separate claim is required unless Verus People Nursing requests additional information. Rewards will be processed after eligibility has been verified.
12. Combining campaign offers
An eligible nurse may also participate in the Remote Area Nursing Grocery Reimbursement Offer or Education Allowance Offer where they independently satisfy the terms of those offers.
The same expense cannot be reimbursed more than once.
13. Improper conduct
Verus People Nursing may reject or cancel a referral where it reasonably determines that:
- information provided is false, incomplete or misleading;
- the referral is duplicated, retrospective, fabricated or not made in good faith;
- consent to share the Referred Nurse’s information was not obtained;
- there has been manipulation, fraud or misuse of the promotion; or
- eligibility requirements have not been met.
Before rejecting an otherwise apparently valid claim, Verus People Nursing may request further information.
14. Changes or withdrawal
Verus People Nursing may amend, suspend or withdraw this promotion where reasonably necessary, including because of legal, regulatory, operational or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Any change will apply prospectively and will not remove a Reward already validly earned before the change.
15. Privacy
The Referrer confirms that they have the Referred Nurse’s permission to provide their personal information to Verus People Nursing.
Personal information will be collected and used to administer the referral, assess candidate suitability, manage recruitment and placement activity and verify eligibility. Information will be handled in accordance with the Verus People Privacy Policy.
