Remote Area Nursing Grocery Reimbursement Offer

Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Nurse Recruitment Pty Ltd, trading as Verus People Nursing.

 

2. Offer

Eligible Remote Area Nurses may claim reimbursement of qualifying grocery expenses up to a total maximum of $150 AUD.

This is a reimbursement offer. It is not an advance payment, voucher, gift card or automatic cash payment.

 

3. Campaign period

The offer opens at 12:00am AEST on 1 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 30 November 2026.

The qualifying Remote Area Nursing contract must commence during this period.

4. Eligibility for new candidates

A new candidate is eligible where they:

• are registered and compliant with Verus People Nursing;
• commence their first Remote Area Nursing contract arranged by Verus People Nursing between 1 September and 30 November 2026;
• purchase eligible groceries for use in connection with that contract;
• personally incur and pay the expense; and
• submit a valid claim by the deadline.

 

5. Eligibility for existing candidates

An existing Verus People Nursing candidate may be eligible where:

• they commence an eligible Remote Area Nursing contract during the campaign period; and
• Verus People Nursing confirms their eligibility in writing.

Eligibility for existing candidates is subject to available campaign funding. Existing candidates should obtain written confirmation before incurring expenses in reliance on this offer.

 

6. Reimbursement value

The maximum reimbursement is $150 AUD per eligible nurse across the entire campaign.

If eligible purchases total less than $150, only the amount actually paid for eligible items will be reimbursed.

The unused balance cannot be:

• paid as cash;
• transferred to another person;
• carried forward;
• applied to another contract; or
• exchanged for another benefit.

7. Eligible purchases

Eligible purchases are ordinary groceries and food supplies purchased for the nurse’s personal use in connection with their eligible Remote Area Nursing contract.

 

Eligible purchases may be made from a supermarket, grocery store or other legitimate food retailer.

 

8. Excluded purchases

The following are not eligible:

• alcohol;
• tobacco, vaping or nicotine products;
• gift cards, vouchers, store credits or prepaid cards;
• lottery, gambling or gaming products;
• cash withdrawals;
• pharmacy, cosmetic or personal care products;
• clothing, appliances, electronics or household equipment;
• restaurant, café, takeaway or food-delivery charges;
• delivery, service, membership or subscription fees;
• purchases for another person;
• expenses reimbursed or paid by a client, employer, government body or another Verus People program; or
• unlawful or improperly documented purchases.

Where a receipt contains eligible and excluded items, only eligible items will be counted.

 

9. Purchase period

Eligible groceries must be purchased:

• on or after the nurse’s eligible contract commencement date; and
• no later than 31 December 2026.

 

10. Claim requirements

The nurse must provide:

• their full name;
• the relevant Verus People Nursing placement;
• a legible itemised receipt or tax invoice;
• evidence of payment if requested;
• bank or payroll details where required; and
• any further information reasonably required to verify the claim.

The receipt must show the retailer, purchase date, purchased items and amount paid.

Original receipts should be retained until reimbursement has been received.

 

11. Submission deadline

Complete claims must be received by Verus People Nursing no later than 11:59pm AEDT on 31 December 2026.

Claims received after the deadline may be declined unless delay resulted from circumstances outside the claimant’s reasonable control and Verus People Nursing agrees in writing to accept the late claim.

 

12. Assessment and payment

Claims are subject to eligibility and receipt verification.

 

Approved claims will be reimbursed using the payment method advised by Verus People Nursing. Reimbursement will not exceed the eligible amount actually paid or $150 AUD, whichever is lower.

 

13. Duplicate recovery

An expense cannot be claimed under this offer if it has already been reimbursed, funded or claimed through another allowance, client arrangement, employer program or Verus People Nursing benefit.

 

If a duplicate or incorrect payment is identified, Verus People Nursing may seek repayment to the extent permitted by law.

 

14. False or altered claims

Verus People Nursing may reject a claim where it reasonably determines that a receipt or supporting information is false, altered, duplicated, misleading or otherwise invalid.

 

Suspected fraud may be investigated and dealt with under applicable workplace policies and law.

 

15. Changes or withdrawal

Verus People Nursing may amend, suspend or withdraw this offer where reasonably necessary. A change will not affect a valid eligible purchase made before the change by a nurse who had already qualified for the offer.

 

16. Privacy

Personal information will be used to administer, verify and pay claims and will be handled in accordance with the Verus People Privacy Policy.

 

17. Liability and consumer rights

Verus People Nursing does not endorse any particular retailer or product and is not responsible for the quality, availability or suitability of purchased items.

 

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.

 

18. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Participants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
